Transformers specialized in providing power for various electric furnaces. Resistance furnace transformers are used in resistance furnaces and salt bath furnaces for mechanical parts heating, heat treatment, powder metallurgy sintering, non-ferrous metal melting and so on. Since the resistance of the heat generator is too small, or the resistance of the heat generator changes too much during the warming process, a resistance transformer is needed between the furnace and the power grid to reduce and regulate the input voltage of the furnace. Small capacity, low voltage resistance furnace transformer and salt bath furnace transformer is mostly dry-type transformer with box shell, natural cooling; medium capacity (hundreds to thousands of volt-amperes) resistance furnace transformer is mostly oil-immersed self-cooling transformer; large-capacity is forced oil circulation water-cooled transformer.

 

Structural characteristics

The core of the electric furnace transformer is made of high-quality oriented silicon steel sheet, processed by automatic shear line, 45-degree fully oblique seams, no punching, and no weft glass adhesive tape binding process. The coil adopts international main longitudinal insulation structure, reasonable choice of winding structure and insulation, to ensure that the winding has sufficient mechanical strength. It is characterized by strong short-circuit capacity, strong overload capacity, high efficiency, low loss, safety, reliability and so on. The capacity of electric furnace transformer is configured according to the size of electric arc furnace and smelting process. It meets the requirements of smelting process through voltage regulation. Voltage regulation is divided into on-load voltage regulation and non-excited voltage regulation. On-load voltage regulation of large electric furnace transformer without series reactor, no excitation voltage regulation of small and medium-sized electric furnace transformer structure can be divided into two types with series reactor and without reactor, these two structures can change the impedance at two voltages. The former rely on series reactor input and removal to change the impedance. And the latter by changing the high voltage winding of the furnace transformer itself to change the winding impedance.
